ABOUT ME
Neelam Saxena
Reiki Master & Practitioner
Reiki has been an integral part of my life for almost twenty years now. It has been a true blessing. I was always drawn to different healing modalities, but it was Reiki that I eventually came to embrace. Its simplicity and ease of practice have always been very endearing to me.
For a long time my work as a Human Resources professional enabled me to do that which I enjoy most - supporting people. Helping people find fulfilling work, mentoring colleagues, resolving and harmonizing conflict, all of these roles gave me platforms through which I could be present to people's needs. When pulled to offer an even deeper sense of support to people experiencing discomfort, pain or loss, it was Reiki I could turn to as a conveyor of concentrated love and healing. In part, this is because I truly believe and have felt that the energy that Reiki provides comes not just from within me but from the life force that flows through us all. Practicing Reiki has so enriched my ability to help people that I now feel it is my true calling.
I have practiced Reiki on myself and on others practically every single day in the last two decades, finding it to have very soothing and tangible healing effects. In retrospect, it has changed my life in several ways. I have felt Reiki to produce in me a strong personal awareness, possibly due to the centered and relaxed state it facilitates, which has made me a more patient, forgiving and joyful being. My hope is to share the many benefits of Reiki with others to produce good health, peace and healing.
The type of Reiki I practice and teach is Usui Reiki, which develops one's healing ability over three levels. Usui Reiki requires practice in between each level to build your skill and sensitivity to the energy. This also means that when one becomes a Reiki Master you have completed a meaningful course of study and developed some expertise as a healer. I completed Level I in 1995, Level II in 1997 and obtained my Master Certification in 1999. Being a Reiki Master means that in addition to giving healing treatments, I can teach the practice of Reiki to those interested in becoming practitioners.
